I know this might sound a bit silly, but why use Texas as your base map? It seems like an incredibly large surface area to begin with for a campaign's start.
Not silly at all! Part of Texas' charm, and Tayxis' charm for that matter, is that it's a world unto itself. You can go from one end of the state to the other and find that each area has its own character. So my goal here is more world building than campaign building. As I start to fill in the gaps, I'll start doing more focused pieces on individual cities and areas, to allow someone to pick which piece of the world fits their fancy.
That makes a lot of sense!
Love the map.And as a Houstonian, I find Osteen awesome.
